Day by day

day 1: La Paz "wonder city"
Arrival of your international flight. The landing will be at the highest airport in the world, "El Alto".

After passing through the Bolivian customs control, you will be greeted by your guide.

Transfer to your hotel accompanied by your guide and free time (depending on the arrival time of your flight).

Lunch and dinner at leisure.

Night in La Paz.

day 2: Cruise on Lake Titicaca and night on a catamaran!
Morning departure by shared bus from Puno to Copacabana in Bolivia (about 3 hours drive).

Border crossing and arrival in Copacabana.

Embarkation in one of the catamarans to the island of the sun. A snack will be served on board.

Arrival on the island, cradle of the Inca Empire .

Then visit the village of Challapampa, a small and lonely village in the north of the island.

You will be greeted by the inhabitants of Challapampa who organize themselves the activities in their village, such as the visit of a typical house, the school, the church as well as a small museum.

It is also possible to sail on the lake on traditional fishing boats and take a short walk on the Inca Trail to the Inca temple of La Chinkana.

Then return on the catamaran to enjoy a romantic dinner with a view of the lake.

day 3: Yumani and the Inca Fountain
After breakfast we will sail towards the southern part of the sun island "Yumani".

The tour begins with the Inca palace of Pilkokaina.

Then you will continue with the archaeological complex of Inti Wata and the underground museum of Ekeko ("God" of Fortune and Abundance).

We will also visit the traditional medicine and boat building centre of Totora, the local reed.

Passing in front of the terraces of Inca agriculture at the "Pachamama", in front of a handicraft center and the Intica refuge which has the largest variety of Andean camelids.

Visit also the Inca fountain that feeds an aquatic garden composed of several terraces before finishing with a tour on the lake in a traditional boat made of totora.

Then return to the port of Chúa enjoying a buffet lunch and the majestic panorama of Lake Titicaca.

Transfer to La Paz. Arrival around 7:30 pm.

day 4: Departure for the Salar of Uyuni and its domes!
Transfer to the airport in El Alto, depending on your flight schedule, accompanied by your guide. Help with check-in and flight to Uyuni.

Reception at the Uyuni airport and transfer to the domes!
At an altitude of 3,560 meters, the transparent domes are a unique and unforgettable experience on the marvelous Uyuni salt flats with, among other things, the appreciation of a magnificent starry sky every night!

Many activities will be proposed to you during your stay:

The first day, a hike to a nearby island: Incahuasi Island.
Located 45 minutes from the hotel, Incahuasi Island is home to giant cacti. It is an extraordinary place and a very photogenic place.

Dinner included with a menu pre-selected for you where you can taste all the seasonal products.

Your evening will end, if you wish, around a drink under the starry night sky.

day 5: The Thunupa volcano and its surroundings
Second day, the lodge proposes you new activities:

In the morning, departure towards Coquesa. It is a village located at the foot of the Tunupa volcano. You will have the chance to explore this site and where you can observe pre-Columbian mummies.

A small hike is also planned after the visit of the site with appreciation of the splendid view on the crater of the volcano and the salar of Uyuni.

Lunch is included.

In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to go to the village of Jirira to share agricultural activities in the village such as: quinoa plantation, llama breeding, local process of creating dried llama meat.

This activity lasts about 02h00 to 03h00 hours. To reach the village, it is possible to go there by car or by bike.

Other activities will be proposed by the lodge:

- Mountain bike ride around the lodge
- Observation of the stars with a telescope

day 6: From the white salar to the white city of Sucre (via Potosi)
Breakfast at the dome.

After breakfast, departure to Potosi, located at 4 000m of altitude (4 hours of road approximately).

During 3 hours, discovery of Potosi, accompanied by a guide. Founded in 1545 following the discovery of the immense deposit of precious metals of Cerro Rico, the opulence that this city and the Spanish empire knew cost the price of thousands of Indian lives.

From this period, the city has kept many palaces and churches with sumptuous colonial architecture, and its historic center, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO.

The current Casa de la Moneda was inaugurated in 1773 and covers more than 15,000 square meters, in response to the important growth of the city and the silver trade.

You will continue the city tour with a visit to the church of San Lorenzo.
Short walk in the city with its typical streets and the square of November 10.

After the visit, departure from Potosi to reach the city of Sucre (about 3 hours drive).

Night in Sucre.

day 7: Full day tour of the colonial city of Sucre and candlelight dinner show
Discovery of the colonial city of Sucre.

You will begin with the Museum of the Recoleta; originally the convent was founded by the Franciscan order at the beginning of the 17th century.

You will then visit the Museum of Textiles and Indigenous Arts (ASUR Museum), which presents the indigenous populations of the Sucre region in a lively way.

After passing through the general cemetery, discovery of the "treasures" museum. A new museum that contains precious stones and minerals presented with taste. A great pleasure for the eyes!

After lunch, a walk in the main square of Sucre before reaching the Casa de la Libertad, where you will learn more about the history of the country: it is indeed within these walls imbued with symbols that the declaration of independence was signed on August 6, 1825.

Finally, you will end up at the Central Market of Sucre; the Church of San Francisco and the Museum of the Monastery of San Felipe de Nery, with the possibility of enjoying a magnificent view of Sucre from the bell tower.

We offer you dinner with a "dinner show" at the socio-cultural center "Origenes". A presentation of the cultural diversity of Bolivia through amazing and colorful dances. Let yourself be transported to another world during the 2-hour show, while enjoying delicious national and international dishes by candlelight.

day 8: The famous market of Tarabuco
Departure from your hotel by private vehicle in the early morning, and direction Tarabuco village.

Located at about 1 hour from Sucre, this typical village is nestled in a small valley surrounded by hills.

During the morning, the richness of the local folklore is revealed, through the clothes worn by the natives or the dances of Inca origin.

In the village's narrow streets, which are adorned with bright and intense colours for the Sunday market, there is an exhibition of articles as diverse as textiles and ceramics (all of high quality).

Free time to enjoy the market and to stroll around.

Return to Sucre after the visit.

day 9: Return to La Paz and visit of the Tiwanaku site
2 hours before the flight, transfer to the airport accompanied by your guide and flight to La Paz.

Arrival at the airport of El Alto and departure in direction of the archaeological site of Tiwanaku (Temple of the Sun) (approximately 1h30 of road).

Lunch at leasure in Tiwanaku.

Tiwanaku is an architectural complex classified as World Heritage by UNESCO since December 2, 2000. It symbolizes a great spiritual and cultural center of the Tiwanaku civilization still unknown today.

It was, from the VIIth century, the capital of a powerful empire extending until the north of Chile while passing by the south of Peru. This city, innovative as well by its agricultural irrigation system as for its study of the stars, testifies above all of powerful religious elements expressed through anthropomorphic iconographies.

The numerous vestiges of the site represent the various cultural advances of this civilization: the semi-subterranean temple, the temple of Kalasasaya, the pyramid of Akapana and the pyramid of Pumapumku.

The highlight of your visit will be, without a doubt, the monolith of Bennett Pachamama of more than 7 meters high.

You will certainly notice several elements having inspired Hergé for the album "Tintin and the temple of the sun".

Night in La Paz.

day 10: La Paz and its cable cars
Visit of the Bolivian administrative capital: located at the bottom of a trough, the city is spread over more than 1000m of difference in altitude.

Discovery of the city from belvedere to belvedere to better understand its topography, then visit the museums of the "calle Jaén", a colonial street in the historic center of the city.

You will also discover La Paz from a new angle with its exceptional panoramic view, taking the cable car.

Located in Plaza Murillo, the 19th century La Paz Cathedral impresses with its gigantic size, the height of its dome and the size of its pillars.

Afterwards, a walk through the witch's market. Here one finds most of the ingredients needed to make traditional Andean remedies to influence the Aymara spirits as well as offerings for the Pachamama, the mother earth.

In the afternoon, discovery of the Moon Valley, located 10km from the center of La Paz. This geological formation, composed of gorges and rocky peaks on the hillside, punctuated by cactus, is a very pleasant walk.
