Away from the tumults of La Paz’s urban life, the valley of the moon is not a real valley, but a whole of strange geological formations, fairies or snakes’ chimneys. Water is running, wind and rain have, with time, eating a hill with very crumbly rock, leading to special… shapes. This is a pleasant walk for an afternoon. This walk can be combined with the visit of la Muela del Diablo (the devil’s molar), where the peak overpasses from the other side the valley of the moon and from where the view is very pretty. All along the walk, a very special vegetation borders the path; cactus, small dried trees… Despite the city improved this pretty place, that became the neighborhood’s garden, it still is a nice excursion for a day to relax after a long visit in La Paz’s museums. Opening hours: Every day from 9 am to 5 pm.
