An Apacheta (“place in altitude” in local language) is a place considered as privileged in the Andean religion for its connection to the spiritual world. There, travelers can make offerings to Pachamama (Mother Earth), as well as priors to catholic Saints to achieve their trip. A typically Andean syncretism!
