day 18: Cusco
Finally in Cusco, the navel of the world for the Quechuas. The capital of the Inca Empire, classified as a World Heritage Site. During the day visit of the famous imperial city with the Plaza de Armas, the Stone of the 12 angles; visit of the impressive colonial cathedral, which juxtaposed with the churches of the Triumph and the Holy Family, forms an architectural ensemble full of history. (visiting time: 1 hour).
Direction to the Temple of Gold, or "Q'oricancha" in Quechua, the foundations of the Monastery of Santo Domingo and the colonial church (visiting time: approximately 1 hour).

Departure to discover the main archaeological sites around Cusco, the most famous of which is the fortress of Saqsayhuaman. Also visit the ceremonial baths of Tambomachay.
