day 1: The descent of the "death road" by mountain bike
Very early in the morning, transfer to the starting point of the day's adventure (and prior testing of the equipment: helmet, gloves, vest and waterproof pants).
You will leave towards "la Cumbre", pass at 4700 meters from where a steep descent towards the cloud forest begins, synonymous with the beginning of the jungle.
This road, also known as the "road of death", descends 3000 meters in 64 kilometers. Very quickly, the landscape changes and becomes green; the climate softens, it is the Bolivian jungle.
The descent starts on tar (about 2 hours) before reaching the "road of death"; 7 kilometres of a strenuous climb which is the only "physical" stage of the route (possibility to climb it in the assistance vehicle).
Another 3 hours of descent, and you will arrive at the village of Yolosa, meeting point with the vehicle that will take you back to La Paz by the alternative route.
Two snacks will be served along the way, and you will have lunch before returning to La Paz.
