Samaipata's Fortress

Registered in the World Heritage of UNESCO, nobody knows exactly the function of the Pre-Inca site. Rests of about 500 inhabitants surround the main site, a huge red stone slab sculpted with low-relief (animals like puma or snake, and also object providing from the daily life, as tables, urns…). Further, there is an enormous hole (El Hueco), maybe an ancient jail, maybe a communication way or a pantry. A legend speaks about beings like extraterrestrial beings, who would have taken Saimapata’s Fortress to create their base, to soar to the sky. All this, along with noises heard by workers present in the site of the Hole. Finally, this mysterious site keeps feeding the craziest speculations.
