In the immediate vicinity of Tupiza, the gully formed by erosion due to the stream at the bottom of the small valley is particularly impressive: the red rocks, which are tiered in the direction of the height, rise up to the hills above, which vary between blue and dark purple, due to the different minerals present in the earth. The vegetation and the cacti in particular make this quebrada look even more unreal.
