National Park of Tunari

Mount Tunari and its hills covered with forest surround the valley of Cochabamba. A lot of treks are available in a subtropical climate. It is also possible to climb the mount, standing at 5035 m height, by paths with changing of difficulty according to the visitor’s training. In the north, a bus can do half-way and in the south, some parts need technical equipment. Climbing lovers will be really enjoyed! Other interest of the Natural Park of Tunari; the ecotourism park of Machia. The association tries to rehabilitate animals born under the human hand to a wild life. Parrots, monkeys, sometimes pumas…The trek inside the vegetation similar to the one present in the Amazon is wonderful. Some viewpoints on the surroundings dominating by the Cordillera and low valleys are really amazing.
