In the north of the National Park of Sajama, there is Huayñacota Lake that has a varied fauna (ducks, gulls, some flamingos migrating in winter…). It is also possible to see vicuñas and ñandus (Andean ostriches) coming to water, and most rarely foxes or pumas. This lake is surrounded by high peaks, like the Sajama, the 3rd highest mountain of America.
