Sajama National Park

Sajama’s national park is located at the border with Chili. It was created in 1945 in order to protect the unbelievable biodiversity of this Andean region (lamas, alpacas, vicuñas, flamingos, ñandus, etc…). The park has several hot springs and also infrequent vegetation, manifesting with small queñuas, a species that achieved to adapt to these very special climatic conditions.
