Butch
Cassidy and Sundance Kid, made famous by the 1969’s
western awarded with many Oscars, these two American thieves, wanted for many
hold-ups and other robberies, fled from the United States in 1901.
After spending a few years in Argentina,
and attacked several banks on their way, they arrived in Bolivia in 1906,
fleeing again. They settled down then in San Vicente, in the south of the
country.
In
1908, everyone talks about the hold-up led by two American people in a
locomotive full of silver coming from Potosi mines and the payroll of the mine
workers.
Hence, it is told that the Bolivian
policemen, as well as CIA agents, would have encircled Butch and its accomplice
into their house in San Vicente, where they would have died… However, it exists
theories of their survival and installation in Chili.
