Tarija's market

Because of this very special climate in Bolivia, Tarija has several agricultural and culinary specialties. Having a walk in the market allows to understand better this other Bolivia, with its sopapillas, small regional cake/wafer, juices made with different fruits and the mix in the batido vitaminico, the cereal bread, very traditional and of course, the drink making Tarija proud, the aloja, sweet drink made with corn or quinoa. Villagers and their traditional clothes are also part of the market’s interest for curious visitors.
