Suriqui Island

This small island is famous for its boats made of reeds by autochthons and daily used until a few time ago. Today, tourism’s rise saw this traditional transport replaced by wooden boats, more practical and bigger. Broadly speaking, the island suffered and is still suffering from this activity that is out of control from the local populations.
