San Miguel

Less famous than the other missions, the one in San Miguel is nevertheless as charming. In the heart of a sleeping village, the church is a real jewel: its restoration is considered as one of the most accurate to the original aspect. The woodwork is again in honor, a wonderful statue of Saint Michel is standing inside and there are decorated murals that are worth to travel the 38km separating San Miguel from San Ignacio. Workshops and cooperatives or woodworkers propose again small souvenirs, in cedarwood or other woods.
