San Francisco Church

The church and cloister of San Francisco are linked to the first Franciscan mission of the country, in fact, these religious edifices are the oldest of the continent. This is a structure made of stone, characterized by a colonial-style combined to Baroque Mestizo. During the colonial period, the Viceroy built artificial lakes in order to raise the mine’s production. Dams didn’t resist so much time and flooded the entire city, but San Francisco Church kept intact. During the visit of the temple, it is interesting to talk about several points of interest among which there are catacombs and roofs that offer a wonderful view of the city and its surroundings.
