Ojos de Agua

Under Uyuni’s Salar, rivers of soft and salted water are running. This water, crossing under the salt crust, removes air which wants to go out. Those “eyes” of the Salar are places where this air goes out, precisely by forming small lakes in the heart of the Salar. This gets reflected by bubbles coming to the surface with water charged with mineral ores.
