Dive into the heart of the Bolivian History. The Casa de la libertad (House of Freedom) represents the symbolic heart of the Bolivian nation. This is within its walls, saturated of symbols, that the declaration of independence has been signed, on August 6th, 1825. Before it was a Jesuit monastery and now, it is a university. The museum part houses a lot of documents, portraits, masterpieces and other objects linked with independence. Among the remarkable masterpieces, the bust of Simon Bolivar, liberator of Bolivia in 1825, carved in wood, the sword of Marshal Sucre, won during the battle of Ayacucho, the war flag floating on the coastline before Chile invasion…
