"Land of rains, coffee and coca leaves, land where we are living is called Yungas” sing Afro Bolivian populations who live on the hill, at 1600 meters height. At the origin, ancient black slaves who escaped from forced works in difficult conditions in Potosi, fled in the density of La Paz’s surrounding forests, gathering in centenarian communities who now are claiming and valorizing traditions of their ancestors.
